Amazon.com Review
Sloppy in conception, and even sometimes in the playing, Let It Be often gets a bad rap. Unfairly, as it’s often as charming, well written, and (oh yeah) rocking as the Beatles’ “better” albums; it’s also more outright fun than Abbey Road, the masterpiece it followed into the sto…

Your Free Xbox Live Account Questions Now Answered

A lot of people in forums and discussion boards having many questions about what the Xbox live service is all about, and on getting a free xbox live account. Look no further, here is a collection of a few of the most important questions on the xbox live, laid all out here for your convenience.

What is the Xbox Live?

Xbox Live is a Microsoft service that enables subscribers to play Games against each other online. Not only that, the service can also deliver digital content such as movie trailers, TV shows, and even additional downloadable content for existing games bought offline from retailers.

Will it work on my Sony PS3/Nintendo Wii/<other console game>?

No, unfortunately the Xbox Live service is only available on the Xbox platform, nowhere else. The service is also not compatible with other consoles’ similar online services like the WiiConnect24 or the PlayStation Network.

What is the difference between Silver and Gold?

The Silver service is basically the same as the Gold service – you still get the downloadable content, demos, trailers, a few arcade games, etc. The achievements functionality is also present. The only thing missing from the Silver service is the multiplayer aspect – you can only play with other Xbox Live players if you get the Gold service.

How do I get a free Xbox Live account?

Many people think that the only way you can get a free Xbox Live account is by asking their parents or someone else to pay for it. Of course, it is technically “free” for you, but would you really call that free? It’s a well kept secret, but since many people are already discovering it, this document will even out the playing field by giving you the real deal.

If you ask the people who paid for their subscription, they’d tell you that they didn’t receive any dongles or new equipment – what they really paid for is a game code. That game code is used to authenticate the account you’re using and give you access to a lot of free Xbox Live content.

Now that’s all public knowledge, so what’s the secret here? The secret is that Microsoft itself is using a generator to create those game codes. Think about it, would a single person be able to create game codes for millions of Xbox Live subscribers? These game code generators are usually well protected, and it would be rare if one of them leaks out. There are definitely fakes out there, but the real generators definitely will give you an Xbox Live subscription.

So there you have it, a free Xbox Live guide on all (well fine, most) things about the service. If you do come across a post or an article giving directions on how to get a free Xbox Live account, it is advisable for you to grab it immediately – it might be too late if you just sit on your hands.

Log on to your passport account. Go to https://accountservices.passport.net/ppnetworkhome.srf?vv=550&lc=1033 and click on account services. Long on using your current email address that is connected to your xbox account. From there you can change the email address associated with your gamertag. I did this a week ago.
