E3 would probably have closed down in shock if Nintendo had not made at least one Mario-related announcement. Top 10 Wii Games For Adults Fortunately they obliged and presented New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The main attraction of this game is something that Nintendo have been trying to achieve for some time – a multiplayer game in “real time”. What this means in effect is that while a player is guiding Mario around the familiar side-scrolling game world, he or she can invite up to three other friends to join in at any point along the way. This new feature has been made possible due to the technology behind the Wii and has been a long-term goal of Shigeru Miyamoto, the man behind Mario.
Players will, according to early reports and screenshots, be able to choose from Mario and Luigi (of course) and two versions of Toad. When played in multiplayer mode the game will include competitive elements between the players, such as collecting various objects around the screen, and at the end of a level the players will be given statistics to show how well they played. Needless to say, other familiar faces from the world of Mario will make appearances including Yoshi the dinosaur, who can be used as a mode of transport.

In another first for the Wii, the game is said to have a feature where the player can pause the game and let the software itself go through the level until the player wants to continue playing, a little like fast forwarding through t DVD until you get to the part you want to see.
The Wii remote will be used both in traditional gameplay style (buttons) and using the motion sensor technology behind the remote to spin around in midair and to pick up the other players…yes, you can pick up the other players. And throw them. What else could you possibly ask for?
