what is the difference between the 1st generation Playstation 2 and the new, slimmer Playstation 2?
I’m contemplating a purchase of a Used Playstation 2 system, and I’m wondering if the older version would suit my needs. I don’t have a player currently, and haven’t had one before.
I’ll use it for gaming from time to time.
I’ll use the DVD player.
I won’t use it to go on the internet.
Trying to keep the costs low, so wondering if it matters whether I get the older, “fatter” version, or if I should focus on getting the slim model.

There are bascially the same thing but the fat one is better because it doesn’t heat up as fast as the thin one does. if you play to long you could damage the system.
